Day 1-October 25, 2004
We were starting our decent into Taipei airport and suddenly we were hit with turbulence as we went into the full furry of the typhoon. After a 20 minute roller coaster ride we landed safely in Taipei. I got airsick from the landing into the airport. We were delayed 9 hours due to the typhoon. We finally took off after 9:00 pm. We arrived in Bangkok at midnight. We took a larger taxi from the limousine stand in the arrival desk. The price was 1850 bahts for the taxi but we were tired and nauseated from the plane rides so we splurged for the ride. We arrived in Pattaya around 2:45 am. It's too late to go out so the first night was gone before we got to Thailand. We'll have to make up for lost ground on Tuesday.
Day 2-October 26, 2004
This is my first full day in Thailand. I ended up waking up late and miss breakfast so I ended up eating lunch at Tops. I picked up a few essential supplies at the store and checked my e-mail. I took in an afternoon massage at Silom on Soi 3. The massage price for 1 hour went up to 150 bahts. Next I stopped in Welkom Inn to check out the new talent. The bar was crowded with standing room only. I ended up getting hustled by a 30 year old girl but I ended up going to the room with her. Later in the evening we ate at Fuji's Restaurant. Our first stop for the evening was the Soi 3 beer bars across from Big C on Second Rd. We sat down in a couple of the bars for a drink or two. The beer bar complex there looked a little busy in some of the bars and there's a few of them with no customers. After that we hopped on a baht bus down Soi 2 and drop off at Best Friends Beer Bar complex to see Linda's Bar. We drank for an hour or so and played games with the girls over there. Our next stop was Super Baby Agogo on Walking Street. They have a short show for one song every half hour or so. There are some new girls so I ended up chatting with one and then it's off to the hotel room for short time. She was one of those girls that liked stuffed animals so I ended up buying one for her along the way to the hotel.
Day 3-October 27, 2004
Started out the day as normal. I ate a very light lunch and headed out for some shopping. I bought some polo type shirts and some leather belts. I forgot to have the belts cut to my size so I'll have to go back tomorrow to see if I can have it sized for me. I stopped at some travel agencies to check on prices for Siem Reap. I'm planning on taking a side trip to see the Angkor Wat. My friend is still undecided on whether he'll go along on the trip. Today is Wednesday and we'll have to decide before the weekend on the status of the side trip. After dinner at MK Restaurant in the Big C we headed out to Honey Agogo on Walking Street. We didn't go in there and the guys split up for the night. A few of us headed into Happy Agogo for a drink. The girls are looking OK with some of them dancing topless. Soon one of the girls approached me and we chat for awhile. It didn't take long for me to take her out. She came over to my hotel room for a short time. She was very business like.
Day 4-October 28, 2004
Today's the day for the luncheon at Candy's restaurant. I ended up being there early and had to wait half an hour until the rest of the guys showed up. After a filling lunch and some group pictures we head off to check out a DVD store. I couldn't find the title that I'm looking for which is Garden State. It seems like only the more popular movies are available in Pattaya. I bought some more souvenirs like another leather belt since I go through them pretty quickly with my expanding waistline. After a long walk along Beach Road I visited some money changers to exchange my traveler's checks for bahts. It seems like a lot of hassles cashing traveler's checks because you need your passport and you pay 33 bahts per check to cash it. You come out ahead with cash so I'll be cashing my large bills the rest of my trip. It's late afternoon already and I decided to go to Silom Massage on Soi 3 and Second Rd. I ended up with one I had last year. Sure enough she was carrying her lotion to the room. Oh no, looks like she wants to give me a hand job again. I reluctantly comply since she says that I'm her first customer of the day. We meet up for dinner at around 6:30pm at Tops. I had a light dinner of fried rice with beef. We charted a baht bus to Buffalo Bar on Third Rd for 60 bahts. There seems to be a lot of girls in there but also a lot of customers, too. I was unable to hook up with any of the girls from there. We ended up taking a baht bus for 100 bahts to Walking Street since it was hard finding one out there in the middle of nowhere. We stopped in a few agogos like Super Girls, Electric Blue, Honey, and Champion. From there we all split up and I ended up in The Sea Agogo in the Soi Diamond area. I immediately latch on to a girl that looks promising. The price was right at 1000 bahts for short time. She was also business like and left right away after the deed.
Day 5-October 30, 2004
Woke up today in excitement as it's the day of the elephant trekking. I haven't been on an elephant since several years ago in Chiang Mai. We were picked up in the hotel lobby at 12 noon. There were 4 of us in the party and the van had 6 other tourists in it already. Off we went to the Elephant Village outside of Pattaya. We had a little introduction and then we paired off to ride the elephants. The elephant ride was about 1 hour through a small river and through the countryside. I took a bunch of photos along the way. There were some photographers along the way taking pictures and videos of our ride. After the ride we sat done and had some fruits and watched the video of our journey. I bought an 8 X 10 picture with thai silk frame of my ride for 300 bahts as a souvenir. After the elephant ride I ate lunch, made my reservations for Phnom Penh, and rested in the room until we went out for dinner at Fuji's Restaurant at the Big C. From there we went into a couple of agogos. Next we took in the show at Polo's. Some of the dance routines were new and some were the same. I had a fistful of 20 baht bills to tip the dancers. It was after midnight already and the bars all close at 1:00 am now. My last call was Super Baby Agogo. I quickly picked out the girl that I took on my first night there. She was available and we went to the hotel. Along the way to Soi 8 she wanted another stuffed animal again. Cost was 230 bahts. A small price to pay to make the girl happy.
Day 6-October 30, 2004
The trip to Thailand is halfway over already. The time sure goes by fast when you're having fun. I took care of some travel arrangements to Cambodia this morning. I paid for the tickets and arranged for the taxi pick up at 3:00 am Tuesday morning. That only leaves tonight and tomorrow night as full nights to party. It's still hot in the daytime and I try to avoid the heat of the sun by not walking around too much in the strong sun. I decided to try something different and took in a foot reflexology massage past Soi 1 across from the Palladium disco. The massage was OK and I felt myself falling asleep during the foot therapy. After the massage I went over to Welkom Inn to see what's new. I ended up meeting a 22 year old eager girl. In the room even this young girl has nasty stretch marks on her stomach. I left Welkom Inn and went to the travel agency to pick up the plane tickets. For dinner we went to Coca Restaurant upstairs in Tops. The food was excellent but the portions were small. After milling around for awhile we ended up at Linda's Bar at the Best Friends Beer Bar complex. We stayed there about an hour and then proceeded to Walking Street. My next stop was Living Dolls. I got hustled by an average looking girl and decided to leave while I can. Next I stepped into Amazon Agogo. It's the same as the other bar so after a drink I headed to the Soi Diamond area and stopped in Carousal Agogo. It wasn't working out for me there so I proceeded to Super Girls Agogo. I met up with a girl that I knew from 2 years ago. She was away for the last 2 years in Issan. I ended up taking her since it was closing time already at 1:00 am.
Day 7-October 31, 2004
I started the day at the internet café at the All Day Café. I then exchanged my dollars at the money changer. Next I had breakfast and went back to the room to rest up for Welkom Inn on Soi 3. In the afternoon I headed out to Welkom Inn for some afternoon delight. I ran into the older girl from my first outing earlier in the trip. The younger girl came in late so I missed out on her. After the session at Welkom I took a slow stroll back to my hotel. We ate dinner at Tops and then proceeded to do some drinking on Soi 9. The quality of the girls seem to be heading downhill. I ended up playing games with a girl that really didn't interest me but I had to get my one drink at Soi 9. From there we checked out one of the beer bars across from Soi 6 that is new. It was really slow there and looks like we were the only customers. We played games with the real girls while the katoeys gave us a massage. Our next stop was Soi 2. We met up with some girls from Soi 8 at one of the bars in the Soi 2 beer bar complex. Then we hopped on one of the baht buses and headed to the Walking Street area. We went into Super Paris Agogo. I was approached by one of the dancers and I bought her a drink. I passed up on her and then went into The Sea since Super Baby & Super Girls were closed for 2 days. I hooked up with one of the dancers there. She was small but a little perky.
Day 8-November 1, 2004
Did the usual routine of eating breakfast, checking my e-mail, and such in the morning. I rested a bit at the hotel after taking a leisure stroll along Beach Road. Then I ate dinner and went to the Big C to watch the Anacondas 2 movie. The theater auditorium was a little cold. My next stop after the movie was Sabai Room for a body massage. This is my first time at the soapy on this trip. I paid the 1600 bahts for the massage and then when I was finished I took a walk down Soi 6-Yodsak. I stopped in a couple of bars or should I say I was dragged in. I stayed in the bars for an hour or so and then I headed back to the internet café to check for my hotel reservations for Cambodia. No e-mail confirmations so far and tomorrow morning is my trip there. So I'll have to call them up and see if they received my reservation or not. I decided to call up the Big Luck Hotel directly and I was able to confirm my hotel reservations and airport pickup over the phone. We decided to have dinner tonight at the Pink Lady Restaurant on Beach Rd. I had fried rice but it was a little spicy for me. Our first stop was the Peppermint Palace Agogo on Walking Street. They grabbed the cameras there as we entered so I don't think I'll go there again because of the hassles. After Peppermint Palace we went into Polo Agogo. I was soon lured out of all my 20 baht bills. My next stop was the Living Dolls Showcase and it sucked there. I decided to head over to Happy Agogo but a girl grabbed me from one of the beer bars by Happy Agogo. I sat with her for about an hour and made a quick decision to take her. That was a pretty good choice for me as she really put out. I looked at my watch and saw that it was around 1:00 am already and I'm suppose to get up at 2:00 to get ready for my 3:00 am taxi pick up to the airport. Looks like I won't be getting an sleep tonight.
Days 9-11-November 2-4, 2004
Three days in Cambodia. See Cambodia trip report for more details.
Day 12-November 5, 2004
After I finally got rid of the girl at the lobby, I checked out of the hotel and was able to get into my safety deposit box otherwise the girl would have a field day with my remaining money. We took the taxi to the airport and proceeded through the sparkling new airport in Phnom Penh. The plane ride aboard Bangkok Airways was a quick 50 minutes to Bangkok. We cleared immigration and took a taxi to our hotel. We checked in and went to the money changer on Soi 4. We then caught the sky train to National Stadium to visit MBK shopping center. After shopping and a quick lunch at the food court we caught the sky train back to Nana station and caught up with e-mails at the internet café near Soi 10. I did some shopping along Sukhumvit. Now I'm starting to feel sick. I vomited a few times and had diarrhea, too. My forehead is starting to heat up and I also feel nauseated. I decided to go to the pharmacy to get some medication to ease my suffering. I ended up getting some antibiotics, fever reducing fills, and something to quell my upset stomach. I passed on dinner as I starting feeling worse. I'm feeling a lot more sicker now so I decided on staying in the hotel for the night and skip the bar hoping.
Day 13-November 6, 2004
I struggled to get up in time for breakfast. I couldn't really eat anything at the buffet as I'm still feeling sick and I don't think I can keep any food down. I ended up going back to my room to rest again. I'm taking the medication and rested until dinner time. I was able to eat a meal but I still was feeling the nausea and upset stomach yet. I decided to attempt to take a chance on going to Nana Entertainment Plaza to see how I feel. We all met up at Rainbow 1 at 9:00 pm. We stayed there for half an hour and then we walked into Playskool to check out the scene. That's where I decided that I should go back to my room and rest up for the night. We
