August 5-6, 2010-Taiwan-Singapore
I left the VIP lounge at 3:30 PM to make it to the gate for the boarding time. When I got to the
gate’s holding area the airlines made an announcement that boarding will be delayed until 3:50
PM. I waited in the holding area and can tell that this will be a full flight.
When they announced the boarding for the first/business class and the gold card they then
announced the general boarding about 5 seconds later so I didn’t have enough time to grab my
bags and head for the boarding gate. By the time I got to the line it was long already. By the time
I got to my seat the 3 females were already in my middle row. Luckily I had the aisle seat. There
seemed to be a lot of young women around the same age group so maybe this is a tour group or
some type of field trip or something like that. They didn’t fill out the Singapore customs card so
they were continuing on to Surabaya on the same plane under code sharing with Garuda Air.
The flight was mostly smooth with a few bumps and the fasten seat belt sign coming on several
times for extending periods. The Sapporo beer I had in Taipei was causing me to use the
laboratory a couple of times. I gave way to the female sitting next to me. She excused herself
when she went to the toilet. On the second trip to the toilet she said that she’s sorry that she’s
troubling me but I said it was OK. That’s the extent of the conversation with her besides asking
me if I was getting off in Singapore. I was thinking about striking up a conversation with her but
she was wearing a ring on her left wedding finger and I assumed that she was Indonesian so I
didn’t bother with it.
The plane arrived in Singapore about 8:30 PM which was ahead of schedule. I went through
immigration and then picked up my check in bag which came out just as I arrived at the carousel.
I exchanged about $300 US traveler’s checks into S$395. The exchange rate was S$1.37 per
$1US for cash and S$1.32 per $1US for traveler’s checks. There is no fees for either cash or
traveler’s checks. The money changer had sim cards for S$33 but I think there’s cheaper sim
cards around so I passed on that offer.
Since it was about 9:00 PM already I decided to pass on the hotel shuttle buses since it will take
some time to get to my hotel and I wanted to get started with the Geylang nightlife as soon as
possible. I grabbed a taxi and there was no queue so off I went to Fragrance Crystal Hotel on
Lorong 18. The taxi ride took 20 minutes to reach the hotel. The fare was S$13 + S$3 (airport
fee) + S$2 tip=S$18 total.
I checked into my hotel room. I had to prepay the 1 night stay at the front desk before I got my
room key. I then showered and freshened up as I unpacked what I needed for the night. I checked
my notes to refresh my memory before setting out for dinner and a massage.
I went down to the lobby at 10:30 PM before leaving to put my valuables in the safety deposit
box. There’s a S$50 refundable deposit for the box. There’s also a S$200 fee if you lose your
safety deposit box key.
My first order of business is to eat a quick meal. I found a place on Lorong 16 and Geylang St.
called Lim Beng Coffee Shop. There’s no traditional western style food here just Chinese, Malay,
Indonesian, and Muslim dishes. I settled for won ton noodle but it wasn’t the soup type but the
dry style on a plate. It cost S$3 and I got a bottle of water for S$2 which includes a small tip for a
total of S$5. The meal was a bit too spicy for me.
After struggling with the spicy dish I took a walk on Lorong 18 which is on my street. When I get
back to Singapore later on I’ll try to check out the other nearby Lorongs. Lorong 18 has many
houses with some next to each other. They have a fish tank style to pick your girl. I walked
around and one of the touts ask me if I wanted to go in. I asked what kind of girls that they had
and he told me Chinese so I went in since I’ve never tried one of that nationality before.
When I looked inside house number 28 they had 5 Chinese (PRC) girls sitting down behind the
glass. There were 2 other Chinese looking customers checking them out, too. Of course they
picked right away and took my first 2 choices so I quickly went with my third choice. She looked
kind of friendly so it was OK with me.
I paid the S$100 for the 40 minute “sex” massage. The price seemed high but it could be because
PRC girls come at a higher price or that I could be a foreigner and they always charge more for
“outsiders”.
I went into the room with the girl. The room looked like she sleeps in there over night as I could
see her clothes in her dresser, laptop on her mini desk, and that she covered her bed with several
towels to keep her sheets and bedspread clean.
She undressed me and then herself. We then stepped into the shower and she washed me off and
then I dried myself off while she showered herself. After she finished drying off herself we went
onto her bed and she gave me a quick breast rub on my body. She then did a bj with a condom.
After a couple of minutes she went on top and rode me for a short while and then she turned me
over on top of her to let me finish up in that position. When the deed was done we washed up and
then rested for a short while and then got dressed. I asked to take her photo but she didn’t want
so I don’t have my souvenir picture. The full service was completed before the time limit. Being
from China she couldn’t speak English except for a very few words.
After leaving the massage house I walked back to my hotel and relaxed and typed my messages
on Microsoft works and save it until I can get an internet connection later.
I went to sleep around 1:00 AM and set my alarm to ring at 8:00 AM.
August 9, 2010-Indonesia-Singapore
Day 6- My alarm clock rang at 6:30 AM and it was time to get up and get ready for an early
breakfast. My cewek was still feeling ill but she ended up going down with me to have breakfast
in the Spices Café. I ate as much as I could of the foods that I think I’ll be able to eat. The old pro
didn’t hardly eat anything except eat a couple of small rolls and hot tea. The omelet is so plain
with only the onions and tomatoes in it. I sure miss my pork products for breakfast.
After breakfast we went back up to my room so that I can finish packing up the rest of my stuff.
We went down to the lobby to check out at 8:30 AM. She decided to pass on going to Batam
Center with me. She wanted to take the ojek to see a doctor. I gave her the standard 320,000 Rp
but she said she needed more for her plane ticket to Jakarta. I reluctantly gave her a USS50 bill.
She said that she now needed some money for the doctor. I didn’t want to give her anymore since
she’s cleaning me out. She gave me the guilt trip about how “I don’t care about her” and such. I
just left anyway.
The hotel taxi to Batam Center cost 75,000 Rp which is higher than the coupon taxi 50,000 Rp
from Batam Center to Panorama Regency. It only took 15 minutes to reach the ferry terminal.
I walked inside Batam Center and went up to the second floor to check in. I then went to the
luggage check in and had to pay 10,000 Rp for overweight bag. How come my bag was heavier
when I checked it in at Harbor Front in Singapore and I didn’t have to pay any overweight fee
there? Anyway it’s only about $1.50 US so it’s a small price to pay. I was told that I had to wait
until 10:00 AM to go through pre immigration so I went down to the first floor and looked
around at the shops. I bought a Batam 2010 t-shirt for 45,000 Rp.
When 10:00 AM came around I went through the Indonesian immigration and then the security x-ray machine. The checker for the screening wasn’t even looking at the images from the x-rays. I
went to the boarding area and sat down waiting for the boarding call. I realized that I had
forgotten to take my motion sickness pills so I hurried and swallowed them quickly. You’re
suppose to take the pills an hour before but I forgot about it and I ended up taking it about 20
minutes before boarding. Luckily the ferry was in smoother water while docking in Batam.
The ferry that I was taking was a huge one. It had 4 seats on each side of the ferry with a long 8
seat section in the middle. All the 4 seaters on both sides of the ferry had tables where 4 seats face
the front and 4 seats face the rear and they use the same table. There were many of these
seat/table combination but I stuck to the middle 8 seater because I was able to get an aisle seat.
The ferry had their air conditioner on high and it was really cold inside the cabin. The ride was
mainly smooth all the way to Harbor Front in Singapore. When we reached Sentosa Island the
Singaporean coast guard came aboard the ferry and did a quick walk through and then left. We
continued on to the pier. I departed last because I had to drag my heavy bag off the ferry and I
didn’t want to slow anybody up as they seemed in a hurry to disembark the ferry.
I went through the immigration, x-ray machine, and customs in short order. I immediately headed
for the taxi stand but I had the thoughts of getting a sim card, exchanging money at the money
changer, and eating at McDonald’s before leaving Harbor Front which in hindsight I should have
done.
The taxi queue was nil and I was able to get a taxi right away. This time was the first that I had a
Caucasian driver which seemed strange to me. The ride to Fragrance Pearl Hotel on Lorong 14
Geylang took only 15 minutes. The fare came out to S$9.80 so I gave him the S$10 + S$2 tip.
I checked into the hotel and had to pay the S$180 up front for my 3 nights. I didn’t have enough
Singapore dollars so I had to charge it on my credit card. I went up to my room and it was really
small. I think it’s smaller than the Fragrance Crystal Hotel. The shower will get the toilet seat wet
as there’s no shower curtain and the water will splash all over the bathroom. The bathroom is a
little tight, too. The air conditioner took a while to cool the room.
After unpacking and changing my sweat laden clothes I went to the lobby to put my valuables in
the safety deposit box. They got several sizes of boxes to choose from which is the same with
Crystal, too. I just took the small box. I also signed up for the half day city tour tomorrow
morning. I’ll have to be down in the lobby by 8:45 AM. The tour cost S$38. This way at least I
can see the main attractions of Singapore and then later on visit Orchard Road later on via the
MRT. I still have to locate the MRT station which is suppose to be a 20 minute walk from the
hotel.
I walked around Geylang Road looking for someplace to eat. I finally found the same place that I
ate on Lorong 23. The char siu won ton noodle was very spicy. There were 2 won tons with soup
in a rice bowl and the plate had the char siu and noodles. They put a lot of shoyu type of sauce
covering all of the noodles. There were chili peppers on the side that made the dish spicy. I had to
buy a coke zero to put out the flames coming from my mouth.
I then found an internet café by Lorong 18. The price was S$1.80 for an hour which is a very
good price. I used up the full hour checking my e-mails. I’ve been off line for the last 5 days so I
had a lot of catching up to do.
I also found a money changer that was open because today and tomorrow there is the National
Day celebration for Singapore and a lot of businesses were closed especially the banks. I got
S$1.32 per dollar at the money changer. I decided to exchange $200 US just in case the banks are
closed tomorrow, too. I also had to buy a temporary watch since my other one broke. I paid S$5
for a Casio knock off that should be good enough for now. I don’t know how long the watch will
hold out but I hope it last until the trip is over.
After that I went back to my hotel room to get ready for the evening. Since I don’t know where
the MRT station is at I don’t really want to be looking for it at night. I’ll just stay in Geylang and
check out the massage houses on some of the other Lorongs and see what they have. If I were
really lazy there are some houses next to the Pearl. I’m hoping to find some more houses with
PRC ladies. This time I have some flash cards written in Chinese characters but I may not
understand their replies.
It’s 8:30 PM now and I’ll be going out soon. A note that I forgot to mention earlier on my first
night in Geylang 4 days ago was that early in the morning about 7:00 AM I saw some older ladies
all over Lorong 18 soliciting me when I walked by them as I was headed to the main road to eat
breakfast. I didn’t see this last year but I guess the police haven’t cracked down again. Also I
noticed today is that there are older ladies along Geylang Road standing around probably looking
for customers. I didn’t feel like talking to them to find out their price. I figure that if you seem
interested they will hound you until you give in or you leave their turf.
I left around 9:00 PM and looked for a place to eat dinner. I happened to see a place that was
advertising Western food so I went to the kitchen stall on Lorong 7. The dishes in the picture
look appetizing so I ended up ordering the fish & chips meal for S$5.50. While waiting for the
meal to be cooked I bought a diet coke at the next stall and then waited at the table for the fish &
chips to arrive. When the waiter or server brought my plate over I was a little disappointed. Yes
the deep fried fish was a golden crispy texture which I liked but there’s white sauce all over the
plate including the French fries. Why do they put white sauce of the fries? There was a wedge a
tomato and some cole slaw like cabbage. The only thing missing was the slice of garlic bread. The
picture of the dish had a garlic bread but mine did not. Anyway, at least the fish was pretty good
and not spicy at all.
After fueling up I walked around some of the Lorongs looking for PRC girls. I found one on
Lorong 20 but I decided to check some more houses out first before deciding since it’ll cost
S$100 for 50 minutes. The one I checked out on Lorong 18 was a Thai girl. There’s no need to
try a Thai girl since I can always go to Thailand and get them cheaper.
I walked to a few houses and the outside guard or tout shook his hand indicating that no girls are
available. It seems like I was out there during peak time and the better houses had all their girls in
the room with customers already. It’s hard to imagine that some houses have that many nice ones
if all their girls are busy. At first I thought they were just chasing me away because I’m not the
traditional nationality in the area.
I stayed away from Wackenhut (spelling?) because all the people hanging around outside were
Muslim looking. There’s still a lot of other Lorongs to choose from. I didn’t get a chance to
check out the 3 houses next to Fragrance Pearl.
After doing a complete circuit of the general area I went back to the house I saw on Lorong 20
which was house 38. They had PRC girls and I picked one and took the S$100 for 50 minute
package. They also had a S$80 for 30 minutes.
The routine seems to be the same with this one as I compared it to my first solo night earlier in my
trip. You both get undressed and go into the shower. She soaps you down and then rinses you off
and then you dry off while she takes her shower. You lie down on the towel on the mattress/bed
and then she does a short breast rub over your body. Next they lick around your thing before she
caps your head with a condom for a bj.
After a short bj she then goes on top. When she gets tired then you go on top. Normally it ends
there unless the customer cannot finish then the girl gets out her lotion to finish up with a hand
job. I must still be feeling tired since I wasn’t able to finish even with the hand job.
There still was some time left so she wanted to take a quick nap but she fell asleep and I went to
check on the time and it was already 10 minutes past the 50 minute mark. Some houses will ring a
buzzer to say the time is up but in this house there was no buzzer to warn of the time running out.
I’m not sure if the girl will get into trouble for going past the time limit but I just walked out and
they didn’t ask for overtime pay. I didn’t get a chance to ask if I can take a picture of the girl but I
think they are told not to do so. Judging by the routine I think the girls are trained by someone to
perform their duty in a set manner. It’s sort of like being mechanical.
I left the massage parlor and headed back to my hotel. It’s about 12:30 AM now and I need to get
to sleep soon as I’ll have to get up at 6:30 AM so that I’ll have enough time to eat breakfast, take
a shower, and be ready for the early pickup for my city tour.
August 10, 2010-Singapore
Day 7- When the alarm clock rang at 6:30 AM I immediately took a shower and got ready to find
someplace to have breakfast. I walked over to Lorong 23 and had dumpling soup for S$3 and a
bottle of water for S$1.20. After having my bowl of soup I went back to my room. I can see from
outside the Pearl that there were 3 big tour buses parked in the parking lot and street. The tour
group in those buses stayed at my hotel.
I finished packing up and then I got a call from downstairs that the van is here to pick me up.
They were 10 minutes early for the 8:45 PM pick up. I went to the van and was followed by an
Indian couple that was also staying at my hotel. The van picked up some more passengers from 3
more hotels. After gathering everybody we ended up at the tour’s company base yard.
We waited for my vans arriving with tourists. We ended up leaving the bus terminal at 9:35 AM
with about the tour bus being 60% full. I had my own section of seats. The aircon on the bus was
really cold and it was compounded by the rain that started when we were picked up from Pearl.
By the time we reached our first stop in Little India the rain stopped but it was still cloudy. We
took a quick walking tour if Little India taking pictures of interests.
We went back to the bus and then we ended up at the Merlion statue. The sun started coming out
and the temperature started rising as well as the humidity. The Merlion is half lion and half fish
(mermaid) and thus it’s name Mer and Lion for Merlion. The Merlion spouts up water from it’s
lion’s mouth. The fish part is it’s tail. You can see a lot of the famous buildings of Orchard Road
from this vantage point. I took a bunch of pictures as I don’t plan on checking out this area when
I come back tomorrow to the Orchard area tomorrow.
Our next stop was Chinatown. We walked a couple of blocks with the tour guide and then we
were free to shop or look around for 30 minutes. I walked around and bought some souvenirs to
bring home. We then got on the bus but a couple that was sitting at the rear of the bus hasn’t
shown up yet so after waiting 10 minutes past the deadline we left them behind. I may want to
check out Chinatown later but may not have enough time to do so.
From Chinatown we toured some more of the city with the tour guide briefing us on some history
of Singapore and also explaining the public housing system. I also found out that cars are
considered a luxury item and you have to bid for a 10-year permit to have a car during that time
limit. She said that the permit price can be as high as S$30,000 plus the cost of the car S$30,000
and up plus 300% tax for owning a car. Wow, aren’t we glad that we aren’t in that situation?
Our next destination was the Singapore Gem Factory. This was the boring part as it seems to be a
prerequisite for city tours. I was the first one on the bus just to get away from the factory. One of
the local Chinese salesman said that my accent is strange. Funny thing, I couldn’t hardly
understand him either.
The final stop was at the Orchid Gardens section of the Singapore Botanical Gardens. The
admission to the Orchid Gardens was included with the tour. I walked through quickly taking a
couple of snapshots. I waited outside until the rest of the group came out of the attraction.
We were directed to either board the big bus or to a van. I was scheduled to take the original van
that picked us up from the hotel. The driver dropped off the other passengers at various hotels in
the Orchard area and those hotels looked much better than the one I was staying at. The 3 of us
was dropped off at Pearl as the last stop for the driver.
I went upstairs to put away my stuff and then went out to eat a late lunch and also to check out
the internet. My room wasn’t cleaned yet either. I didn’t change any money today since I changed
my original plans of checking out Orchard Towers and it’s 4 floors of whores. It would have cost
me a lot more $$$ to go there so I’ll save it for my last night in Singapore. I’ll be able to decide if
I need to go to a money changer or not tomorrow.
I walked around on the opposite side of Geylang Road which has the odd numbers Lorongs. I
went further north than I’ve done previously. There a small Chinese area between Lorongs 25-27
up to Sim’s Way. I found a small food court of Chinese food that has char siu and roast pork. I
ate at the food stall on Lorong 25 having char siu and roast pork on rice. I bought a slurpe at 7/11
(seven eleven convenience store) for my drink. The slurpe his the spot in the hot humid
temperatures of the afternoon. The roast pork had a lot of fat. The char siu was chopped into tiny
pieces unlike the larger slices in the picture on the wall. The price was only S$3 for the meal and
S$1.60 for the slurpe.
I spotted the MRT station right there up on Lorong 25A. I took a look at the station but didn’t
buy the EZ link card yet. I’ll check it out tomorrow morning and go to Orchard Road and
probably stay there until the evening to take a look at Lucky Plaza & Orchard Towers.
I then walked to the internet café by Lorong 18. I stayed there for an hour. I had to look up the
phone number of the Singapore branch of China Airlines so that I can reconfirm my plane
reservations to Taipei.
I walked back to Pearl and went up to my room at 5:00 PM. When I walked into my room I
noticed that it still hadn’t been cleaned up. Maybe since it’s a short time hotel and a budget hotel
to boot, I suppose that room cleaning isn’t part of their services. Luckily I didn’t dirty up my
towels or put them on the floor yet. I’m not sure if Crystal has the same policy or not. I only
stayed there for one night so I wouldn’t know.
I’m charging up all my batteries for the cell phone (can’t hold the charge for more than a day
now), digital camera, and net book. I still can’t get on line with my net book unless I want to pay
a steep fee to use the hotel’s internet connection. With the cheap internet cafes nearby it’s better
to just use them instead of paying too much for the hotel’s high price.
I’m getting ready to go out for dinner and then to begin my hunt for a “massage” at one of those
famous Geylang houses. As I walked out of my room and locked the door I saw the cleaning
person down the hallway and this was 7:00 PM. It’s kind of late for room cleaning but maybe the
other “maid” called in sick.
I walked over to the place that advertised Western food on Lorong 7 even though it’s a little
different but the fish and chips I had last night was OK. I had the chicken cutlet this time. It was a
deep fried breaded piece of thinly sliced chicken with cole slaw and a wedge of tomato. The fries
was covered with the white sauce again. I stayed away from the so called ketchup/tomato sauce
as it didn’t taste like the one back home. This set me back S$5.50 for the chicken dish and S$1.20
for the coke zero.
After I gulped it down I proceeded for my main mission to get a special “massage” at one of the
Lorong houses. I walked around and finally stepped into the house #36 on Lorong 18. This
Lorong is wall to wall chicken houses. I found out that this house has Thai girls but I was told one
of them is half Thai and half Taiwan. I guess half Taiwan is about as close as I’m going to get to
try a Taiwanese girl.
I paid the S$80 for a 50 minute session. She did pretty good service but I was having a hard time
again. No matter what she did it just didn’t work for the happy ending. The phone rang and I was
out of time. This girl wanted me to finish so she said it cost only S$50 for 25 more minutes. The
boss wanted another S$80 so I said that I’ll be coming out then the phone rang about 15 seconds
later and he agreed to the S$50 rate. The time was running out again so she used her hand to
finish me off. We quickly showered as the phone rang indicating that time was up. I hurried out
and paid the S$50 for the extended session.
There are a lot of people walking down the various even numbered Lorongs and they are almost
all males looking for a good time. Nobody is shy here. The girls are very professional and seem to
be trained well. I saw the sign in the shower stall that says “always use a condom for oral sex” so
that explains why there’s no bbbj. They also don’t want their picture taken so I guess they’ve been
told to say no to photos. I haven’t tried to get their cell phone number since the time runs out fast.
The massages sessions are not as long as the ones in Thailand.
I returned to my hotel room around 10:00 pm to find that my room was cleaned while I was gone.
It sure was a late cleaning but at least I did have my towels replaced as well as getting 2 new cups
of water. I’ll try to get up a little later tomorrow morning as the next morning I will have to get
up at 5:30 AM for my flight to Taipei.
August 11, 2010-Singapore
Day 8- The alarm rang at 8:30 AM but I rested a little longer to make sure I’m well rested for the
day at Orchard Road. I went out around 9:30 AM and exchanged another big bill for S$1.31 rate
per dollar. I then walked to Lorong 25A and had dumpling soup before heading to the Aljunied
MRT station.
Inside the station I inquired about the EZ link card which starts at S$12 of which S$7 is for the
fares and S$5 is for the card itself. I was told that since I’ll be using the MRT for one day it’ll be
better for me to pay the standard rate for each trip. I went to the fare card dispensing machine and
had to read the instructions first. I pressed the single trip button and then pressed the destination
NS22 for Orchard Road MRT station. I deposited the S$2.40 for the fare of which S$1 is to be
refunded when I return the single use card.
I walked up to the sign indicating the station heading west. Somewhere between the Kallang and
Lavender MRT stations the sky train went underground and became a subway. I stayed on until I
reached the City Hall interchange. Luckily the train heading north was right across the platform so
it saved me some valuable time. Three stops later I got off at Orchard MRT station. I followed
everybody up the escalator and then proceeded to the turnstile. I put the card on the card reader
on top of the reader and then the turnstile opened. You keep the card and return it to GMT for
the S$1 refund. I kept it for now since I didn’t know what that meant.
I exited into the Ion Shopping Center which is a high end shopping center with all the expensive
boutique stores. I explored the mall until I found the exit which happened to be the wrong one
because I ended up at the rear of the mall. I looked at my map and found the direction to Orchard
Road. I then walked along Orchard Road on one side and started taking pictures of some of the
ritzy shopping centers. It was hot and muggy and I was sweating along the way down the road.
I’ve been walking around for about an hour and then I found Bencoolen Street which is where I
would have stayed if I changed my mind about the Geylang hotel. I took a look at the Hotel 81
Bencoolen to see how it looks compared to my Fragrance Pearl Hotel. The hotel on Bencoolen
was a little larger in size and had a separate bath tub so at least the toilet won’t get wet when you
take a shower. The air con had is own thermostat which the Pearl was missing the thermostat.
There was a special S$89 special but the rooms at that price were all sold out already. They had
the standard price of S$119 available but it was too high for me for that size of room.
I continued my walk and decided to stop at the Long John Silver’s that I spotted near Oldham
Lane. I had the S$6 one piece chicken and one piece fish with fries and a sprite. The food was
deep fried so I’m getting a lot of calories and grease in my diet now. The grilled chicken or fish
was higher at around S$8-9. It did look good but the price was steep compared to the deep fried version.
After resting a bit at the fast food outlet I continued my journey to see the world famous Raffles. I
finally reached the most expensive hotel in Singapore around 1:30 PM. Just as I took a picture of
the front of the hotel with it’s old fashioned attired hotel greeter complete with the old British
white uniform, turban, and beard the darkened skies erupted with a heavy downpour. I rushed
into the Raffles Hotel arcade to avoid being drenched. I waited around the perimeter of the hotel
for over an hour until the rain slowed down enough to walk in the open.
After wasting more than an hour due to the storm I continued to my next destination of Suntec
City. I went inside the huge plush convention center/shopping mall. The prices were expensive
and I didn’t buy anything here. The exchange rate was a bit better here at S$1.34. I took a look at
the cinema and found that the prices were high here, too. The weekday tickets would set you back
S$11 and for the weekends S$14. The ice cream cone was S$8 for a scoop of premium ice cream.
After looking around for an hour I decided to leave this mall.
I walked outside and it was still overcast but it’s much cooler, too. I went down some of the side
streets along the way and saw a Hotel 81 & Fragrance Hotel next to each other on Middle Street.
I continued walking up Orchard Road even though my legs were getting tired.
I finally walked into a few of the fancy malls along the way to my next destination of Lucky Plaza.
I reached Lucky Plaza at 4:30 PM. I explored the mall of Lucky checking out each floor. It seems
that the higher up you go the more Filipino oriented business abound. There were all kinds of
remittance companies, employment agencies for maids, etc., mini stores for Filipino foods and
goods, and Filipino cuisine. There were lots of Filipinos walking around the building. It almost
look like I was in the Philippines while in Lucky Plaza.
I took the escalator down to the second level where McDonald’s was. I ate a fillet-o-fish
sandwich with fries and coke cola light for S$6.80. The prices does seem high in the Orchard
Road area and even in McDonald’s.
After finishing my meal I left the mall and walked toward Orchard Towers. I had to take the
underpass to cross Patterson Road. I walked around the area near Orchard Towers and found the
Hard Rock Café behind the Forum Mall. At 6:30 PM I finally decided to enter Orchard Towers. I
went up each floor walking around the various bars, massage parlors, and shops.
I scoped all four floors and settled on the Club Eureka Mason on the 4th floor because I liked the
music that was playing at the time. When I walked in the music was really loud so I had to put my
ear plugs in. I ordered a mug of Beck’s draft beer and it cost me S$10. Wow, that’s expensive.
It didn’t take long for a female to show up. She was a Filipina as was the rest of the girls. She
seemed to look a little better than the other ones but it’s dark inside so maybe it’s really hard to
tell. She hinted for a lady drink and I almost fell down when she told me it was S$32. I finally
gave in and she got her tequila and a glass of water. We continued talking and I wanted to find
out all the details after some small talk.
She said that all the girls in there now are working for the club. There are no free lancers inside at
the time. In fact all the employees including the girls, bartender, DJ, and band were Filipino. She
said there was a VIP room for privacy which cost S$30 and the lady drink is S$44 or beer and
S$54 for the hard stuff. That sure if expensive for some private moments. She didn’t mention
anything about take out service or anything related to that. Maybe she doesn’t do that or that’s
the job for the freelancers which are not around at the time.
After an hour I decided to cut my losses. It cost me a total of S$42 for the hour inside the famous
4 floors of whores. Actually I didn’t see any. I wanted to check out another bar but I was short on
funds. I only had enough for the Geylang house later tonight. I saw some bars that had S$6 happy
hour prices for beer but I don’t have enough to check it out. I did see some lady boys near the
Crazy Horse Club so I didn’t go in there.
I left the building and then headed for the Ion Shopping Center taking the underpass along the
way to Orchard MRT station. At the ticket dispensing machine I put my used fare card on the
reader and then put it into the slot when indicated to do so. The machine then refunded my S$1
and then I purchased my single use fare card to get back to Aljunied MRT station for S$2.40.
I did everything in the opposite direction and it didn’t take long for me to reach the Aljunied
station. I went to the fare machine and put my card on the reader and then deposited it into the
slot for my S$1 refund. I walked back to Geylang Street and stopped at the internet café near
Lorong 18 for an hour.
After checking my e-mails I walked back to my hotel. Along the way I noticed that the freelancers
were in force on Lorong 14 across the street from the Pearl. I might have to check them out later.
I quickly freshened up and changed clothes before heading back out. I walked out of my hotel and
proceeded to Lorong 16 and then 18 where I checked out some of the houses on the street. I
stayed away from the ones with Thai as I can’t see paying the big bucks for them when I can pay
a lot less for them in Thailand.
I finally went back to one of the houses on Lorong 18 that I’ve tried before. I went into house
#28 and asked about the PRC girl that I had last time. The owner said that she was busy with a
customer so I quickly picked the girl wearing the number 9. She was about 23 years old and
looked good.
She quickly got me undressed and we went into the shower to wash up. She wiped me down and
then I laid down on the towels that were draped on her bed while she dried herself off. She
skipped the other foreplay and went straight to the condom and gave me a bj with it on. She
didn’t go on top of me like all the other Geylang girls do in the beginning so I had to do the work
from the start. This time I was able to finish early. She gave me a quick leg massage to finish up
the time. She washed me off just like at the beginning and wiped me dry, too. I got dressed while
she dried off and got dressed. I tried to offer her some gifts that I had with me but she declined to
keep it. Maybe they are told not to accept gifts.
After leaving the house I walked down to Geylang Street and proceeded to Lorong 14. I walked
behind a Chinese guy down the gauntlet of freelancers on the opposite side of my hotel. The guy
had some solicitations as did the other guys in front of us but I didn’t get a single look as I made
it to my hotel. I’m still trying to figure that out. The freelancers did look like PRC as they were
calling to the other guys in Chinese.
I went up to my room and finished entering my notes into my net book. I packed a few of my
items and I’ll pack the rest tomorrow before I leave the hotel. I went to sleep at 1:30 AM and set
my alarm for a 5:30 AM wake up which gives me only 4 hours of sleep. I hope I’m not all tired
out by the time I make it to Taipei tomorrow.
